Laspa Center for Leadership at 91¶¶Òõ Established With $5 Million Gift

President Lori Bettison-Varga today announced a $5 million gift to establish a women’s leadership center at 91¶¶Òõ. The new center will be named in honor of Eileen Schock Laspa ’67, P’95 and Jude Laspa, Harvey Mudd College ’65, P’95 who made the keystone gift. The LASPA Center for Leadership at 91¶¶Òõ, the women’s college of The Claremont Colleges, will embody programming focusing on 21st century leadership including Leadership, Analysis, Scholarship, Public Service and Action.

Searching for the Perfect Red: Selections from the 91¶¶Òõ Collections

Anger, passion, love, power. These are all words associated with the color red. Across time and culture, red has played an influential role in art. The Ruth Chandler Williamson Wilson and Turk interns present¬¬ Searching for the Perfect Red: Selections from the 91¶¶Òõ Collections, an exhibition showcasing work from around the globe radiating the color red. The exhibition, on view from April 1st through April 12th, 2013, illuminates the use of the color red in textiles, ceramics, and prints. The opening reception, which will feature live music and light refreshments, will be held on April 2, 2013, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Gallery 112, in the Lang Art Building at 91¶¶Òõ, located at 250 E. 12th St., between Columbia and Dartmouth avenues.
